Canadian Pacific (CP) congratulates Brooke Henderson on her impressive win today at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, her first win as a CP Golf Ambassador and first on tour since June 2016.
"We are thrilled for Brooke and congratulate her on the come from behind, two-shot victory," said Keith Creel, CP's President and CEO. "We are proud of our association with Brooke, the Henderson family, and Smiths Falls and look forward to watching her throughout the summer as we approach the CP Women's Open in Ottawa at the end of August."
In February, CP announced Henderson as its newest CP Golf Ambassador, joining Canadian Golf hall of famer, Lorie Kane.
The 19-year-old Canadian prodigy, born in Smiths Falls, Ontario, has now won four times on the LPGA tour, including the 2016 KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Henderson is also a graduate of Golf Canada's National Amateur Squad and Young Pro Squad supported by CP, which marked the beginning of her relationship with the railway.
To coincide with Canada 150 celebrations, the 2017 Canadian Pacific Women's Open will return to the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club from August 21 to 27. Through its CP Has Heart campaign, CP will once again make a significant donation to cardiac care in the host community, with funds benefiting improvements in diagnoses and treatment at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
