An Area Manager, Business Development, may be able to assist you in a site search. We can tell you about:

  • Existing or Future Industrial Parks
  • Existing Land or TrackTransload Facilities or Team Tracks
  • Warehouses located on CPR or its partners
  • Locations on CPR or connecting partner railroads

Construction projects: New sidings or siding modifications

An Area Manager, Business Development, at CP can assist you with the construction of new rail infrastructure at a new or existing site or with the rehabilitation of an existing rail siding. Here's how we can help you:

  • Provide a list of railroad contractors
  • Provide engineering specifications for your projecApprove your plan or suggest improvements (CPR approval is required)
    Provide a private siding agreement outlining maintenance, service and liability responsibilities
  • Coordinate any work to be done by CPR
  • Arrange for inspection of the completed service and initiate rail service
  • Other Construction Projects: Over, Under or In the Vicinity of an Active Industry Track

Any construction work in the vicinity of an industry track used by CPR may encroach on allowable track clearances. Contact us for:
