Our community investment program is focused on the historic ties we have with the communities along our tracks, and our goal of making a significant and lasting contribution to the quality of life in these towns and cities. To achieve this, we partner with local charities and organizations which have a broad reach. These include:
Since its launch, CP's Holiday Train program, during which we collect food and money for local food banks and to raise awareness in the fight against hunger, has raised more than $7.4 million and over 3 million pounds of food
Our goodwill ambassador, the CP 2816 Empress steam locomotive, the only surviving H1b Hudson and is one of only a handful of preserved and operating CPR steam locomotives in North America. In 2010, public ticket sales from the Community Tour celebrating CP’s 125th Anniversary of the Last Spike raised $50,000 for the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada
