Juno Award winner Melanie Doane has been a recording artist and songwriter in the Canadian music landscape for over 15 years, beginning on a national level with her breakout hit album "Adam's Rib". To date she has released 7 albums, written seven chart topping singles, had her music featured on hit television shows such as Brothers and Sisters, Being Erica, Flashpoint, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and traveled numerous times across Canada and the U.S. on various tours and the CP Holiday Train. She was commissioned by Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton to write and record a song celebrating 20 years of Women’s Bobsleigh in Canada and has also written and recorded original music for Tennis Canada.
In 2012 Melanie was cast as the Songwoman in the hit Broadway play "War Horse", performing 8 shows a week for a full year at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. With "War Horse" now over with, Melanie's writing and recording new material, teaching her father's famous Ukulele in the Classroom program to over 100 kids in Toronto schools, being a busy mom to Rosie and Theo, and riding the rails for one more spectacular cross Canada adventure!
