Canadian Pacific's forest products business consists of lumber, panel, and pulp and paper products moving primarily from Ontario and British Columbia to the U.S. and to Asia through Port Metro Vancouver. Our efficient facilities move high quality pulp at a low cost to Asian markets. Eastern Canadian originated pulp and paper products move to export through east coast ports and to eastern North American markets. We also handle lumber, panel, and oriented strand board products through major reload centres in Kamloops and Edmonton, which provide value-added services to our shippers and reduce train handling costs.
Our service advantage is built on an integrated network of track, specialized facilities and partnerships with key U.S. and Mexican carriers that provide superior service to major industrial and consumer markets across North America. Our extensive network of partner transload facilities, backed by Canadian Pacific's logistics expertise, provides decades of experience in the handling and movement of forest products. We serve customers in all of the major production areas in Canada, including British Columbia, northern Alberta, northern Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec.
Canadian Pacific is constantly looking at ways to decrease damage and reduce costs for our customers. Canadian Pacific has introduced key developments in protection for transporting and handling Forest Products. We have also introduced rigorously tested high-quality airbags to prevent damage.
