Senior Vice-President Strategic Planning and Technology Transformation
James Clements was named Senior Vice-President Strategic Planning and Technology Transformation in September 2019.
In this role, James is responsible for strategically driving results through the application of technology, improving data integration, and delivering continuous process improvements. By identifying beneficial opportunities for the organization, he drives efficiencies across the company and improves overall service. James is also responsible for overseeing the operation of CP's Network Service Centre and the company's facilities and real estate portfolios.
James has more than 20 years of experience at CP, including extensive understanding of CP's customers, processes and systems. Prior to his current role, James held the position of Vice-President Strategic Planning and Transportation Services since 2015. Throughout his career, he has held a wide range of leadership roles at the company including within car management, finance, logistics, grain marketing and sales in Canada and the U.S., as well as marketing and sales responsibilities for various other lines of business.
He holds an MBA in International Business and Finance from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from McMaster University.
