Vice-President Capital Markets
Maeghan Albiston became Vice-President Capital Markets at Canadian Pacific in January 2022.
In this role, Maeghan is responsible for leadership of the company's Investor Relations, Pension and Treasury departments.
Maeghan acts as the primary liaison with the investment community communicating CP's long-term strategic vision and overseeing the management of CP's pension plans, which includes CP's defined benefit pension plan, one of the oldest and largest corporate pension plans in Canada.
Maeghan joined CP in January 2005, initially in the Treasury department, as a Capital Markets Analyst. In 2009, she moved to the corporate planning and analysis department where she successively assumed roles of increasing responsibility before joining the Investor Relations department late 2011.
Maeghan has been recognized as an industry leader, winning the IR Magazine award for best investor relations officer in 2021 and named by Institutional Investor Magazine to the All-Canada Executive Team as best investor relations professional.
Maeghan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and is an active member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.
