CP's acquisition of the Central Maine & Quebec Railroad (CMQ) gives us access to key Atlantic ports. Our network gained 481 miles of additional track in Canada and the U.S., with five short line connections and two port connections at Saint John, N.B. and Searsport, M.E.  We also have access to ten new transload locations that service numerous commodities.

The Port of Searsport has become a major shipping destination for wind energy developers. Searsport provides materials handling in many areas, including bulk, break-bulk, heavy lift and liquid transfer.

Through the acquisition of the CMQ, we now offer access to ten additional transload facilities that serve a variety of commodities, extending our reach into Quebec, Vermont, Maine and New Brunswick.

We have a dedicated CP transload team working in partnership with our third-party operators to deliver your goods to where they need to be.
