Tenille Townes

Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Tenille Townes hails from Grand Prairie, Alberta. Her acclaimed debut album was named Country Album of the Year at the 50th JUNO Awards and Album of the Year at the 2021 Canadian Country Music Awards. Townes also earned her third consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year trophy. Additionally, she has raised over $2.5 million for Big Hearts For Big Kids, a non-profit she started when she was 12 years old to benefit a youth shelter in her hometown, which has grown to support organizations such as Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee, S.A.F.E. Animal Haven, and the Manna House

Alan Doyle

Alan Doyle

Born in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, Alan Doyle is a singer, songwriter, and actor who rose to fame as the enigmatic frontman for acclaimed Newfoundland folk-rock band Great Big Sea. During their commercial peak from the late '90s to the mid-2000s, the band's energetic fusion of traditional Celtic fare and sea shanties earned them international success far beyond the shores of their island home. Doyle launched a solo career in 2012 and released a trio of well-received albums. In addition to his musical work, he has appeared in numerous films and television shows.

From Beaconsfield, Quebec, Brittany Kennell became the first Canadian on NBC’s The Voice when country superstar Blake Shelton pushed his button to her rendition of Sheryl Crow’s ‘Strong Enough’. She made it to the knockout round with Miley Cyrus as her mentor. She became the first and only Quebec female country artist to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville in August 2021. Her debut record was named one of CBC music’s 21 most anticipated album of the year and CBC Music's top 15 album of the year.

Don Amero is of Cree and Metis descent and a folk singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a three-time JUNO Award nominee, Amero has taken the skills he utilizes on stage to his advocacy work within Indigenous communities and beyond, including his participation as a youth mentor for the Winnipeg Jets and True North Youth Foundation’s ‘Project 11’. An avid public speaker, Amero created the ‘Music Is Medicine’ workshop, presenting the impact and power music has mentally and physically, and he serves as the first-ever advisor and Chair of the Canadian Country Music Award’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Born in Ottawa, Kelly Prescott comes by her music in the most honest way possible as a third-generation singer/songwriter on both sides of her family. Growing up between a tour bus and a world-class recording studio, her childhood was steeped in traditional country music. Kelly and her family made their Grand Ole Opry debut as guests of Terri Clark in 2018. She has toured all over North America with such acts as Alan Doyle, Kyle Cook (Matchbox 20), Terri Clark, Dallas Smith, Jim Cuddy, Colin James, Dean Brody and her former band, The Claytones.

Toronto-based songwriter, Aysanabee is Oji-Cree and from the Sucker Clan of the Sandy Lake First Nation. Aysanabee is a singer-songwriter who uses folk, soul and alt-pop to tell stories about his life and reconnecting with his roots. His music is solemn and soaring, backed by a swirling blend of indie, soul and electronic soundscapes, mournful saxophone and pulse-quickening finger-picking. Currently readying his debut album, he was the first artist signed to the new Indigenous-owned Ishkode Records.
